Erik is a policy-oriented economist with a special focus on economic integration, trade, investment and mobility. He is driven by a strong desire to help clients show and understand how political and economic decisions impact the economic reality of business and individuals “on the ground”.
To make this happen, he uses the highest-quality academic methodologies, reliable and relevant data, and develops a sound and credible economic narrative.
He has extensive experience in conducting regulatory impact assessments, economic footprint analysis, and the socioeconomic value of transport and digital infrastructure. He has carried out projects for both private and public sector clients, including the European Commission and the European Parliament.
Erik holds a master’s degree in international economics from Lund University. Prior to being a consultant, Erik worked for five years in the Swedish public sector (Kommerskollegium/National Board of Trade).
