Maria is an economics graduate with a speciality in public policy from Aarhus University and has a strong academic profile within economics, microeconometric methods, public management and administration. The interdisciplinary focus on the interaction between politics and the economy has given her the skills to look at issues from new angles as well as to convey complex analyses compactly and simply to a wide range of decision makers.
Maria has several years of experience in applying advanced quantitative methods to Danish register data. This has been particularly in connection with efficiency evaluations within education and the labour market. She is motivated by creating change that works in the public sector through new data-driven knowledge and action-oriented recommendations created in collaboration with many stakeholders.
Previously, Maria worked as a research assistant for Professor Nina Smith. In addition, she has been an intern at Ramboll Management Consulting and a teaching assistant within microeconomics at the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University.
